Götz creates first German DTM
Kelvin van der Linde (birthed 20 June 1996) is a South African racing vehicle driver currently contending in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, GT World Difficulty Europe and also ADAC GT Masters. He made his GT Masters debut in 2014, also winning the champion that year, a task he duplicated in 2019. He won the 2017 24 Hrs of Nurburgring.
In his 40th DTM race, the 35-year-old also celebrated its first DTM victory in a Mercedes-AMG. Previously, fourth place in Moscow was his best result. That's very special, because I have had to wait a long time for this success, said Götz on Sunday. The day before, the British DTM-Neulier Philip Ellis had prevailed.
Götz is already looking forward to the next tasks in the Belgian Zolder on 7 and 8 August. We want to go upstairs in the table. The winner had 4,675 seconds for 36 laps on Liam Lawson (New Zealand / Ferrari) as well as Kelvin van der Linde (South Africa) in an ABT Audi (5,271 seconds). Lawson and Van der Linde had triumphed in Monza five weeks ago. In the overall standings, Van der Linde defended the lead with 69 points.
The Oval Premiere of the DTM a total of a total of 10,000 spectators on the Lausitzring can be referred to as successful, even if some team bosses had expressed their concerns in the run-up to the event. So there was only a heavy accident, where the Britin Esmee Hawkey remained unharmed.
