Sony Abandonne Pax East et GDC 202

Sony has announced that it will withdraw from Pax East and GDC 2020 this year. The proliferation of COVID-19, better known as the new coronavirus, is cited as the reason for this decision.

Sony has updated his ad on Pax East from February 13 to inform people of changing plans.

"You update: Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided to cancel its participation in Pax East in Boston this year due to the growing concerns related to COVID-19 (also known as" Roman Coronavirus "). We Pensions that it was the safest option, because the situation changes daily. We are disappointed to cancel our participation in this event, but the health and safety of our global workforce is our greatest concern. »

Pax East should start on Thursday, February 27 and end on Sunday, March 1st. The event takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. Pax East stands were going to have demos for The Last of US 2 and Final Fantasy 7 remake.

A statement was sent to Games Industry.biz to announce the withdrawal of the GDC company. The declaration reflects the word for the cancellation of Pax East.

"We have made the decision difficult to cancel our participation in the Game Developers Conference because of the growing concerns related to COVID-19 (also known as Coronavirus)."

Sony is not the only company to withdraw from the GDC 2020. Facebook Gaming / Oculus will no longer be present at the event. The GDC 2020 will be held in San Francisco this year from March 16st to 20th. The event brings together game developers from around the world to share ideas, make great ads and create a hype for the rest of the year.

Coronavirus continues to interfere with the game industry. The production of consoles, live tournaments, play trips, etc., have all been affected by Covid-19.
